Induction moment: The visitors have two induction moments at the premises of the Armenian Church, one with Father Josef – the bishop of the Armenian Community – and the other with the responsible of the educational program. Both sessions are planned in order to agree in which activities the visitors would like to further participate at on a volunteer basis:
Testimonies
The testimonies concern the war (before/after) in Syria, the refugee crisis, the expectations about European life, the mass media about the war, etc. Theses testimonies will be provided by the refugee people, and coordinated by Father Joseph, the responsible of the Armenian Catholic Church in Athens.
Common dinner – on Friday evening:
The people hosted by the Armenian Church and Neos Kosmos are invited, together with the people from the neighborhood to participate in a weekly common dinner in order for all of them to meet up.
Church maintenance:
There is a need for volunteers that are willing to contribute at the premises of the church by fixing any kind of electric damages, or by painting the walls, or by organizing the garden together with the beneficiaries or finally drawing and decorating the walls.
Spiritual proposition:
Mass at the Armenian Church – on Sunday and Saturday
Every Saturday in the evening the Holy Mass for Christian refugees takes place, in Arabic. Every Sunday morning there is the Holy Mass in Latin in Greek, and the Solemn Mass in Armenian rite. The function is given by Father Joseph, in the Armenian Catholic Church.

Emporium:
Clothes distribution: The clothes distribution takes place and is open to the public three times per week. There is a huge need of volunteers to be present and register the cases that are passing through and of course controlling in general during the open days, lastly organizing the boxes with new stuff that are arriving day by day as well.
Listening center
The Caritas Listening center is providing its’ services to people in need of psychosocial assistance from all nationalities. Every counseling session depends on the personal needs of every person (refugees and Greeks). The aim is to address the complex needs of the refugees, while it will also meeting the needs of the Greek population and families that face the consequences of the Greek crisis and are in need of psychosocial assistance. The counselling services are approached through the provision of moral and emotional support for every person that requests it, in a climate of
trust and mutual respect. For family counselling, trained professionals are running the sessions while for the listening centre, volunteers are also actively involved, under the training, guidance and supervision of experienced personnel.
Summer Educational Activities / Grest:
The organized summertime educational program takes place during the months of July and August. During this period, volunteers are needed during the morning time who are motivated to collaborate to the already existing educational program or to propose recreational activities for the children. The activities are held at the yard of the Armenian Church in Neos Kosmos or in certain occasions outdoors in the form of educational visits.
