Il Melograno

“Il Melograno” Social Cooperative is an operating entity from Caritas Benevento, implementing and promoting territorial development, young and female entrepreneurship and welfare, with particular attention to social disadvantage situations.

Our activity scope includes cohesive agriculture, poverty combat and job inclusion of young people, women, convicts, addicts.

With our “Social Woods” project we strive to turn the local woods into a tourist attraction for social, environmental and sustainable tourism through the creation of activity paths including integration and entertainment for families and small groups, giving birth to a local social enterprise, focused on young people, dealing with agri-food production of chestnuts and woods berries.

The Social Borough represents a strong social innovation: it’s a place where life can reclaim its meaning and dignity through a rural and domestic lifestyle where our guests become active players and social-aware citizens.
