Caritas Montenegro

Caritas Crne Gore has been developing through various services since 1993, and over the years became recognizable for the help he was providing. Currently it employs about 80 people and has about 100 employees volunteers. At the beginning of the action Caritas’ work was the distribution of humanitarian aid for certain categories of people. Thanks to the support of donors and many people of good will, today, much help is provided for people in need. However, over the years, other services and mechanisms have also been developed, so help has been made it provides through various forms of support. On a monthly basis, through various projects they help through 2 500 users. Caritas realizes activities in several areas: civil society development and social development entrepreneurship, promotion of mental health, assistance to Roma population, work with young people, work with old people, work with OSI, promotion and development of volunteerism, urgent help to people in need. Summer camps for young people as well as foreign language courses and computers are organized.

In order to successfully realize their activities, the Caritas Bar Archbishopric is in time developed cooperation with both state institutions and NGO sector in Montenegro. Caritas activities are being implemented in several Montenegrin municipalities – I do not know exactly which municipalities are now.
