The “Holy Family” kindergarten is organized in 3 units, a central kindergarten and two branch offices. The central kindergarten and one branch office are located in Sarajevo, while another branch office is located in Zenica. At the “Holy Family” kindergarten, there are currently 198 children in the central kindergarten in Stup, Sarajevo, 15 children in the branch office at Višnjik, Sarajevo, and 17 children in the newly build kindergarten branch office in Zenica. The “Holy Family” kindergarten subsidiary in Zenica was partly funded within the ELBa project. The kindergarten provides services of half-day and full-day stay, as well as specialized programs like pre-school education, English language, etc. The children in the kindergarten at Stup are arranged by age in 8 educational groups, of which two are groups for children of nursery age. On Višnjik there is a group of middle-aged children (1-3 years). Throughout the year there are waiting lists for enrollment cause of full capacities. Educational work is in line with the age and abilities of children. For children who are in a state of social need, Caritas offers a kindergarten service at a reduced price, depending on the situation of the family. Depending on the possibilities Caritas supports these families in other ways as well (family food and hygiene packages), clothing, drawing accessories, toys etc. All families having two or more children have a discount on the price of kindergarten.
