“CariArt” works in the field of applied arts and manufactures greeting cards for public and personal holidays. It creates manually manufactured cards on order of individual projects and it also offers cards by catalogue. It also manufactures and prints popular cards with a cause, with paintings from artists with disabilities. In this way, the new social enterprise shows society that there are gifted and capable artists, with rich inner worlds, among young people with disabilities.
The social enterprise is aimed at giving an opportunity to young people with disabilities and their parents to show their talents, to build and further develop work and social skills, to acquire the confidence that they are beneficial to society and to receive financial support through the manufacturing and sale of various interesting and unique cards.
At present, 7 young people with disabilities and two parents have been included in the activities on manufacturing/creating of cards, who, together with the small team of two people of the social enterprise, turn their ideas and feelings into cards. “CaritArt” carries out orders from companies and private persons for greeting cards and invitations for events. It plans to take part in creative markets and to distribute the popular cards with a cause in the commercial network, cultural centers and other public places in Sofia. An on-line shop is being prepared.
