The aim of the youth exchange realized in Montenegro was for the participants to visit examples from this field of tourism in our country and to work together on materials for promotion, sensitization and mobilization of young people for eco and agro tourism. In order to obtain as much as possible adequate information and data on this branch of tourism, during this exchange, lectures and workshops were organized in which people of importance for the development of this tourism sector spoke. The participants first had the opportunity to hear about the beginnings of eco and agro tourism in Montenegro, as well as about the most successful examples in this area, which Jelena Vlahovic, a professor at the Public Secondary School of Economics and Hospitality, spoke about.

President of the Association of Bar Olive Growers Bar – Ćazim Alković spoke about the development of olive growing in the area of ​​the municipality of Bar and the surrounding area and about linking this branch of agriculture with the tourist offer of the city. Representative of Municipality of Bar Jadranka Perutovic – Youth Advisor in front of the Secretariat for Social Affairs spoke about the activities the Secretariat is undertaking to improve the position of young people and the Youth Strategy for 2017-2021. She emphasized that the working group is working on the adoption of documents for the promotion of the position of young people in our municipality, always open to advice and suggestions and any suggestions that are in the interest of young people. The director of the Bar Tourist Organization – Emil Kukalj talked with the participants of this project about different branches of tourism with special emphasis on improving the current offer in the field of eco and agro tourism. He pointed out that this part of the tourist offer is very important for our municipality, which in addition to the sea access has access to Skadar Lake, which is known for providing services and products in the field of eco and agro tourism. As concrete examples of eco-tourism, participants visited the donkey farm in Danilovgrad and OK Coral in Virpazar where they had the opportunity to hear and see how eco-tourism is developing in our country.

As a tourist part of the visit, the guests visited Skadar Lake and Lovcen National Park, where they filmed frames for a tutorial that will be used for eco and agro tourism promotional purposes in the participating countries. We would like to remind you that the project is implemented under the Erasmus plus program and is funded by the European Union. The implementation of the project started in December 2017 and will last for two years. The purpose of the project is to empower young people involved in activities to become key players in promoting self-help and employment in the eco and agro-tourism sector in line with the principles of sustainable growth and social inclusion in line with the European political agenda. All activities proposed by the project should result in increasing the role of young people in society and improving their cultural understanding through informal learning and knowledge sharing.
